Learn to make a classic Granny Square with me and you'll never look back! In this workshop, we’ll make our own traditional Granny Squares while building confidence in following a written pattern and learning how to “read” your crochet — so you can spot and fix mistakes once you’re working at home. This class includes chain, double crochet and slip stitch (US terms). If you’d like to learn how to create a magic circle, we can cover that as an optional extra during the session. By the end of the workshop, you’ll: • Learn core stitches and learn how Granny Squares are constructed • Start to understand and follow a pattern • Be able to troubleshoot common mistakes Once you can make a Granny Square, the possibilities are endless - blankets, cardigans, bags, headbands and more. All attendees receive a printed stitch guide and access to a video recap after the class. As always, class sizes are kept small to ensure everyone receives individual support. If you’re unsure whether this class is the right step for you, just get in touch and we can talk it through. Generally best suited to people who have done a chain stitch before (doesn't have to be good) as we will be working on a granny square pattern from the start of the class, however if you are a complete beginner, you are still very welcome to join - you might just not quite complete a whole square in the class.
